Life Experience

Susan has a background in general nursing and came to psychotherapy (first as a client and then as a student) following the break-up of a long-term marriage and the loss of twin daughters. Since this time she has experienced many significant events, including the deep love of her second husband, and the immense grief that came with his passing. She nursed her close friend through cervical cancer and supported her through the dying process. Susan has also raised four children, and is now a grandmother of two. Susan brings her life experience into her practice, and this provides a solid foundation of empathy, understanding and non-judgement.
